Il generatore di dimming interno PWM rende questo dispositivo ideale per la gestione dei LED ad alta corrente, ma anche per la carica di batterie e supercondensatori. Integrando il rilevamento della corrente sul lato caldo, questo dispositivo pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato in modalit\u00e0 boost, buck o buck-boost o per topologie SEPIC. L&rsquo;LT3954 offre un rendimento superiore al 95% in topologia boost, eliminando la necessit\u00e0 di installare dissipatori di calore esterni. Un pin di regolazione consente all&rsquo;utente di programmare la frequenza tra 100kHz e 1MHz per ottimizzare il rendimento, riducendo al tempo stesso la dimensione e il costo dei componenti esterni. In combinazione con il package QFN da 5 x 6mm, l&rsquo;LT3954 \u00e8 un driver LED da 50 Watt estremamente compatto.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;LT3954 \u00e8 dotato di un generatore PWM interno con rapporti di dimming di 25:1 oppure pu\u00f2 utilizzare un segnale PWM esterno per rapporti di dimming fino a 3.000:1. Per requisiti inferiori, il pin CTRL pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per offrire un range di dimming analogico di 10:1. L&rsquo;architettura in modalit\u00e0 di corrente a frequenza fissa del dispositivo offre un funzionamento stabile in un ampio range di tensioni di alimentazione e uscita. La protezione contro i cortocircuiti sull&rsquo;uscita e la protezione dei LED con circuito aperto migliorano l&rsquo;affidabilit\u00e0 del sistema. Il pin FB (feedback) dell&rsquo;LT3954 con tensione di riferimento a terra funge da ingresso per diverse funzionalit\u00e0 di protezione dei LED e consente al tempo stesso il funzionamento del convertitore come fonte a tensione costante per le applicazioni di carica.<br \/>\nLa versione LT3954EUHE \u00e8 disponibile in un package QFN a 36 conduttori da 5 x 6mm.
