Nella funzione SEPIC (single-ended primary-inductor converter) la tensione di uscita \u00e8 regolata, mentre la tensione di ingresso pu\u00f2 variare ed essere inferiore, uguale o superiore al valore della tensione di uscita. La seconda funzione dell&rsquo;LTM8049 \u00e8 una conversione di inversione, che converte una tensione di ingresso positiva in una tensione di uscita negativa regolata. In quanto regolatore doppio, le due uscite dell&rsquo;LTM8049 possono essere configurate per una combinazione di funzioni SEPIC e\/o di inversione:<\/p>\n<p>(a)\u00a0 Output1: SEPIC, Output2: Inversione<\/p>\n<p>(b)\u00a0 Output1 &amp; 2: SEPIC<\/p>\n<p>(c)\u00a0 Output1 &amp; 2: Inversione<\/p>\n<p>Per completare il design bastano alcuni condensatori di ingresso e di uscita e qualche resistenza, per un totale di 7 componenti, rispetto ai circa 30 necessari per progettare una soluzione discreta comparabile. L&rsquo;area della scheda a circuiti stampati per una soluzione che utilizza l&rsquo;LTM8049 \u00e8 di soli 250mm\u00b2. La corrente in uscita \u00e8 di 1A a 12V<sub>IN<\/sub> per 5V<sub>OUT<\/sub> e pu\u00f2 essere aumentata se il dispositivo viene fatto funzionare in parallelo. La frequenza operativa, impostata tramite una singola resistenza esterna, \u00e8 compresa tra 200kHz e 2,5MHz. L&rsquo;LTM8049 pu\u00f2 essere sincronizzato su un clock esterno nello stesso intervallo di frequenze. L&rsquo;LTM8049 \u00e8 offerto in un package BGA di 9mm x 15mm x 2,42mm.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;LTM8049 supporta un intervallo di temperature di \u201340\u00b0C\u00f7125\u00b0C.
