Il monitoraggio e il controllo della corrente di uscita rail-to-rail consentono di configurare l&rsquo;LT8710 come sorgente di corrente. L&rsquo;LT8710 presenta un innovativo circuito con pin EN\/FBIN per segnali di ingresso variabili e una funzione di blocco regolabile della sottotensione. Questo pin inoltre viene utilizzato anche per regolare la tensione di ingresso ed evitare la caduta di una fonte di ingresso ad alta impedenza, come ad esempio un pannello solare.
