La capacit\u00e0 di carico continuo di 90W su 4-pairs del PSE, garantisce la possibilit\u00e0 di gestire la potenza massima di PD di 71,3W prevista dalle specifiche 802.3bt, sia in configurazione \u201csingle- signature\u201d che in \u201cdual-signature\u201d. L\u2019LTC4291\/92 ha identificato correttamente tutte le classi di layer fisico (fino a 5 eventi) come richiesto dai nuovi PD di Tipo 3 e Tipo 4, cos\u00ec come i PD retro compatibili di Tipo 1 e Tipo 2.
