Inclusa la saldatura, l&#8217;altezza del package \u00e8 inferiore a 2mm, conforme quindi alle restrizioni in altezza di molti dispositivi PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), schede AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Cards) per schede di portanti AdvancedTCA nei sistemi di elaborazione embedded. Il formato compatto e l&#8217;altezza ridotta consentono di installare l&#8217;LTM4623 sul lato posteriore della scheda a circuiti stampati, liberando spazio sul lato superiore per componenti quali schede di memoria e FPGA. L&#8217;LTM4623 funziona con alimentazioni in ingresso comprese tra 4V e 20V e regola con precisione una tensione di uscita da 0,6V a 5,5V con un errore di tensione di uscita DC max dell&#8217;1,5%. Il circuito richiede solo un condensatore di ingresso e uno di uscita, una resistenza per impostare V<sub>OUT <\/sub>e un piccolo condensatore per il tracking di V<sub>OUT<\/sub> e il soft-start. Con una polarizzazione ausiliaria di 5V, l&#8217;LTM4623 funziona da alimentazioni di soli 2,375V. L&#8217;efficienza operativa per la conversione da 12V<sub>IN<\/sub> a 1,5V<sub>OUT<\/sub> e da 3,3V<sub>OUT <\/sub>a 3A \u00e8 rispettivamente dell&#8217;80% e dell&#8217;88%. La perdita di potenza da 12V<sub>IN<\/sub> a 1,5V<sub>OUT<\/sub> \u00e8 di 1,1W, che risulta in un aumento della temperatura di giunzione di soli 24\u00b0C.
