Se configurato per il funzionamento Burst Mode\u00ae, la corrente di riposo di 28\u00b5A dell&#8217;LTC3784 rende questo dispositivo ideale per le applicazioni automotive always-on per prolungare la durata della batteria durante la modalit\u00e0 standby, mantenendo al tempo stesso la regolazione della tensione di uscita. I potenti gate driver con MOSFET a canale N da 1,2 Ohm integrati aumentano la capacit\u00e0 di risposta dei MOSFET di grandi dimensioni. L&#8217;architettura in current mode, l&#8217;uscita di clock e la modulazione di fase del dispositivo consentono di collegare in parallelo pi\u00f9 dispositivi per supportare il funzionamento fino a 12 fasi per le applicazioni ad altissima corrente. L&#8217;LTC3784 ha una frequenza sincronizzabile da 75kHz a 850kHz o una frequenza fissa selezionabile da 50kHz a 900kHz. Il dispositivo, inoltre, consente di regolare il limite di corrente ciclo per ciclo e utilizza una resistenza di rilevamento o la caduta di tensione sull&#8217;induttore (DCR) per rilevare la corrente. Nelle applicazioni in cui la tensione di ingresso supera la tensione di uscita regolata, l&#8217;LTC3784 \u00e8 in grado di mantenere costantemente acceso il MOSFET sincrono, in modo che la tensione di uscita segua quella di ingresso con una perdita di potenza minima.
