Il front end analogico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.analog.com\/media\/en\/technical-documentation\/data-sheets\/AD5940.pdf?ADICID=PRLS_EMEA_P182091_AD5940\">AD5940<\/a> incorpora in un singolo chip sia la funzionalit\u00e0 di potenziostato che di spettroscopia dell\u2019impedenza elettrochimica (EIS), permettendo la misura del sensore nei domini del tempo e della frequenza. Il dispositivo dispone di acceleratori hardware integrati per la diagnostica avanzata dei sensori, fornisce le migliori prestazioni low-noise di categoria per misurazioni accurate, ed \u00e8 progettato per applicazioni indossabili \u201calways-on\u201d. In confronto alle tradizionali soluzioni discrete, che pongono molti limiti e richiedono diversi IC per raggiungere prestazioni equivalenti, la soluzione a singolo chip di ADI offre notevoli vantaggi in termini di accuratezza a livello di sistema e flessibilit\u00e0 nelle dimensioni, per sensori elettrochimici a 2, 3 e 4 elettrodi. Il front end analogico combina livelli di integrazione e prestazioni all\u2019avanguardia per la gestione di sensori elettrochimici basati su potenziostato e misura di impedenza. Il potenziostato on-chip consente l\u2019impiego di tecniche di misura standard basate sull\u2019elettrochimica, ovvero misure amperometriche, voltmetriche o di impedenza.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019AD5940 \u00e8 progettato per l\u2019impiego in sistemi a bio-impedenza per la cura della salute, per misure di impedenza sia della pelle che del corpo e anche per funzionare in combinazione con l\u2019AFE <a href=\"http:\/\/www.analog.com\/AD8233?doc=AD5940.pdf?ADICID=PRLS_EMEA_P182091_AD5940\">AD8233<\/a>, in un sistema completo per misure bioelettriche\/biopotenziali.<\/p>\n<p>Il front end analogico del chip pu\u00f2 misurare tensione, corrente e impedenza. Il dispositivo consiste di due loop a potenziostato, un loop a banda stretta in grado di generare segnali AC fino a 200 Hz e un loop a banda larga che pu\u00f2 generare segnali AC fino a 200kHz. Il potenziostato a consumo ultra basso assorbe solo 6,5uA in \u201dbiased mode\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Il canale di misura dell\u2019AD5940 \u00e8 dotato di un convertitore analogico-digitale (ADC) multicanale con architettura SAR a 16-bit, 800 kSPS e buffer d\u2019ingresso, un filtro anti-aliasing (AAF) integrato e un amplificatore a guadagno programmabile (PGA). L\u2019ADC ha un intervallo di tensione d\u2019ingresso di \u00b11,35 V. Un mux d\u2019ingresso anteposto all\u2019ADC consente all\u2019utente di selezionare il canale di misura. Questi canali includono diversi ingressi esterni in tensione e corrente nonch\u00e9 canali interni in tensione. Quest\u2019ultimi consentono la misura diagnostica on chip delle tensioni d\u2019alimentazione, della temperatura del die e delle tensioni di riferimento.<\/p>\n<p>Le sezioni di misura dell\u2019AD5940 si possono controllare con scritture dirette sui registri attraverso l\u2019interfaccia seriale \u201cSerial Peripheral Interface\u201d (SPI) o, in alternativa, utilizzando un sequencer pre-programmabile, il quale fornisce il controllo autonomo del chip AFE. La memoria statica ad accesso casuale (SRAM) di 6 kB viene partizionata come FIFO (first in-first out) e command memory. I comandi per la misura sono memorizzati nella command memory, mentre i risultati delle misure sono collocati nella FIFO.
