L\u2019erogazione di una potenza pi\u00f9 elevata \u00e8 richiesta da un vasto set di applicazioni: picocelle LTE, segnaletica a LED, impianti antifurto e anti-intrusione, domotica e sistemi di visione artificiale. Il modello LTC4279, molto versatile, \u00e8 impiegabile per un\u2019ampia gamma di utilizzatori (PD, powered devices) che richiedono vari livelli di potenza: tutti i PD legacy (&lt;13W), i modelli IEEE 802.3at Tipo 1 (13W) e Tipo 2 (25,5W), i modelli LTPoE++ di propriet\u00e0 riservata di Linear (fino a 90W) e le versioni personalizzate (&lt;123W). Sono supportate sia le topologie con uscita a 2 o 4 coppie che le architetture a signature singola o doppia. Una resistenza di rilevamento a bassa potenza e un MOSFET esterno semplificano il progetto del circuito termico; i PSE tradizionali utilizzano MOSFET meno robusti con una R<sub>DS(ON)<\/sub> maggiore. Gli utilizzatori vengono rilevati mediante un apposito meccanismo a 4 punti ad alta affidabilit\u00e0 che assicura immunit\u00e0 ineguagliata contro la rilevazione di falsi PD. Il modello LTC4279 fornisce un set completo di meccanismi di classificazione degli utilizzatori per consentire una vasta compatibilit\u00e0 di sistemi.
